Tiruppur Trip

Today, I and Appa started at 5 AM to get some dresses for Sarvesh from Tiruppur. Going out in Bangalore was a dream. Either Bala is hooked to his mobile or laptop or he will not be ready to travel more than 5 km radius on weekends(Exception being Chikka Tirupathi)

Boarded the train at 7 and called Bala from Appa's mobile. Due to reasons unknown, the call did not get connected. So called him from my mobile though it was in roaming. After sometime, he called my fathers mobile. I picked the call. He asked why dont you call from Appa's mobile. I told him I called but  the call did not go. He seemed dissatisfied with my response. I have seen him talking to his beloved brothers and sisters for 20-30 minutes while on roaming. If thats okay, why not calling from my mobile when there is a real need.

We reached Tiruppur. But to our dismay the shops were closed for observing Bandh. We made few rounds to see if we could see any open shops. But none of them were open. We returned home empty handed after getting scotched in the sun.

30 mins back, At 10:45 PM, my husband called again. Sarvesh had slept already. He asked what did you do in tiruppur as it was Bandh today. I told him "Yes. The shops were closed due to Bandh". His immediate response was " You should have watched TV News before going out". That was quite odd to me. I did not feel good on this response. Its common to see auspicious time in daily calendar before going out. But it is uncommon to see NEWS before going out. So wanted to check if he really meant it or he was kidding. So asked him when  should I have seen TV. He told you should seen it yesterday night ot today morning. Okay. Fair enough. So asked him " When did you watch the NEWS and learn about the Bandh". He told "I called my brother and he told me" Thats ridiculous. He did not get the news by watching TV. The news about Bandh came on his way. If his brother had been in Chennai, He also would not have known about the bandh.

I was pretty sure that this would not have been his response when his beloved brother or sister had gone to Tiruppur to see the closed shops. He would have definitely empathised with them. Of course Blood is thicker than water as far as my husband is concerned.  How can I be blamed for a trip that went in vain. I expected him to ask " Were there any shops open... Were you able to purchase something".. But he did not ask about how we managed. He just wanted to blame us . :-)

My husband is quite cautious while speaking to his brother/sister to make sure he does not hurt their feelings.  Reason being we always want people in life. but never thinks if something will hurt me. Though it hurts he is not bothered. Because I am taken for granted. :-(

Million $ Qs

There are number of really worthy million dollar questions in my mind that are still left unanswered and i am not a millionaire to afford to get it answered.

Why dont things happen the way we want? Is it beacuse of  pure destiny or human error?

I dont wish to introspect and do a dissection on the happenings to find the answer. Everytime i do, i get lost somewhere with a heavy heart and i have to always start from ground zero which is more painful than the original moments.

I wish there was notebook lying on my doorsteps with the answers to my unanswered questions.

Decision making is tough!!!!!

Birds chirping in my bedroom???? Oh !!! My husbands alarm tone on his mobile... Itzzzzzz 6:30 am !!! Which meant i had only 60 minutes before i rush out to catch the cab at 7:35. The cab takes me and 6 other people as tardy as me and just one punctual guy - The Driver. So i brushed fast but bathed slow as i took my own time consoling myself telling "Its okay... Its okay... The water is not going to be very cold"... 7:10 am.I spent few seconds before the mirror ... 7:11 am and made some coffee 7:20 am. Strange !!! Bala drank it fast but I was unable to gulp it. So gave half of my coffee for the sink to drink. 7:25 am.

Bala is ready with the bike to drop me at the cab stop. Rushed out to the basement and jumped on the pavilion. 7:30 Vrrrooom... Takkkk... Totakk... Stones lying here and there on the roads only to hinder my speed. 7:31 am. My eyes still focused on the road before me to see if my cab would pass by leaving me behind.

I was waiting on the road peeping onto each Sumo to see if it was my cab. Unusually today the cabwala was late. 7:35 am i am in the cab. Now i have 20 minutes to drift into space with my own thoughts until i reach office. 8:00 am I am in my seat.

My latest US trip aggravated my affinity towards IDLI. I missed it !!! I was eagerly waiting for the breakfast time to have IDLI. 8:35 am. I am with my team mates in cafeteria. I suddenly noticed that the awesome yellow upma studded with carrot and beans was also on the menu. Now i need to make a decision...I had four people before me in the queue giving me much time to debate myself with upma and idli. IDLI vs UPMA. It a tough game. Its always easier to decide if you want something or not but difficult to decide which one you want. Finally with so much thought, I voted for IDLI and Sambar.

Oops!!! How difficult is decision making !!!!
